Is it possible to have "sub menus" from one of the menu links?

For instance ... when I click on "Portfolio" I'd like it to have a sub list of different portfolios to visit...for each gallery type (nature, flowers, bugs, people, etc) ...

Can I do this with this template?

But you can perhaps add a vertical text menu on top of each page ?
